Renowned military boots manufacturer Magnum Boots has announced that they are set to support the release of a 2012 ‘Forces Sweetheart Calendar’ by providing free Magnum military boots for its stars, the calendar’s sweetheart girls.
Now in its second year, the calendar features women who are genuinely passionate about supporting men and women serving in the UK’s armed forces. Magnum’s military boots aim to give the girls a truly authentic military look whilst carrying out their valuable fundraising duties.
Committed to Armed Forces' Needs
Sold in aid of The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund (RMCTF), a charity rooted in supporting Royal Marines wounded in combat and their families, the calendar is produced by The Goodbooks Group, a company that works alongside charities supporting the armed forces.
Laura Greenaway, spokesperson for Magnum Boots, said:
“It’s great to work with The Goodbooks Group, a company run by people who are committed to the needs of those in the armed forces.”
The Goodbooks Group director Lei Turner said:
“We wanted to do a modern twist on the Forces pin ups of the past, by creating a modern day calendar of real life Forces Sweethearts.”
Magnum Boots Continued Support
The calendar is not the first time Magnum Boots has been involved with charities that focus on supporting the armed forces, and has a long-standing association with the Help for Heroes charity. As well as a quarterly contribution of £2,500, Magnum Boots also helps to support the Battle Back Initiative and the H4H Challenges teams.
Laura Greenaway went on to say:
“The nature of our products means we have always had a strong relationship with the armed forces.
“This is why Magnum is proud to support a charity that does so much good work to support our injured servicemen, women and their families.”
If you have a fundraiser event coming up, then The Goodbooks Girls may be available to attend. They can help promote, raise awareness and collect donations for charities supporting the UK’s armed forces.
