Available information on MilitaryRecord.org includes the amount of time served, any medals received, the type of discharge, final rank and other information.

MilitaryRecord.org has been launched as a way for the general public to quickly and easily verify military records, the company announced yesterday.
“After two long wars, we have a lot of people coming home from the service,” a MilitaryRecord.org spokesman said. “Many of them are great American heroes. But others may try to make false claims – either to get a job or even find romance for the night. We want people to be able to verify any and all claims made by a veteran.”
MilitaryRecord.org has a database with the military histories of millions of people who have served in the armed forces, he said.
“This information is part of the public record, but it can be difficult for the general public to find the information on their own,” he said. “We make the process easy. All you have to do is type in the person's name, pay a fee and the information will be at your fingertips.”
Available information on MilitaryRecord.org includes the amount of time served, any medals received, the type of discharge, final rank and other information on a case by case basis, he said.
“The main thing is that you don't want someone claiming to be a hero if he or she is not,” he said. “Some people will claim to have won medals or have honorable discharges when they don't ,simply because they want to get into your bed or land a job with your company. We'll help you check their claims and avoid that.”
