Milwaukee tools are getting an upgrade in versatility with the introduction of the new Max-Lok™ Carbide Extension System, which is already generating buzz among the ToolSelect.com community regarding SDS drill bits and extensions.
The new system is designed to extend SDS-MAX bits up to 82 inches, letting the bits drill deeper and in tighter spaces. Users will be able to reach difficult areas or drill large-diameter (over 1-1/4”) through holes without sacrificing energy transfer. With extensions ranging from 12.5” to 82.5”, the Max-Lok™ system is built for increased productivity.
With adaptability to three shank types (SDS-MAX, SDS-PLUS and Spline), converting to an SDS-MAX shank at the opposite end, users can connect any shank type to the Max-Lok™ extensions, making it possible to drive SDS-MAX bits with an SDS-MAX, SDS-PLUS or Spline driver.
“Any time a manufacturer can make a hard-to-reach area easier to access, there’s going to be interest from our ToolSelect members,” says Tom Klein, vice president of marketing and merchandising with ToolSelect. “The Max-Lok™ system is compatible with any shank type, so we expect a lively discussion once our users start trying out these extensions.”
