Minneapolis and Milwaukee Grocery Store Customers Rack Up Huge Prizes in Monopoly Game

Winning shoppers of Roundy’s Supermarkets, which include Pick ‘n Save, Copps, Rainbow Foods, Metro Market, and Mariano’s Fresh Market stores in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin, are bringing home bags of cash with their groceries this summer.

The Monopoly Collect & Win game runs from June 16 to August 31, 2011.

Pick ‘n Save, Copps, Rainbow Foods, Metro Market, and Mariano’s Fresh Market are the Minneapolis and Milwaukee grocery stores where winners go—and pass Go to collect over $200. Since the Milwaukee and Minneapolis grocery stores launched The Monopoly Collect & Win game in mid-June, 2,170 customers have won one of more than more than 34,000 prizes totaling $2.8 million dollars. Fifty-three have won large prizes valued at $250 or more.

The latest big winner—who won a $50,000 car—lives in Minnesota and shops at Rainbow Foods, a Woodbury grocery store. This customer follows a Greenfield, Wisconsin teacher who won the game’s first $10,000 dream vacation.
