Hailed as a ground-breaking shift in the online publishing industry, Mindvalley opened its doors to give competitors and prospective authors alike free and unlimited access to its practices through the launch of its latest website: Mindvalley Insights.

We wanted to give the other authors who could not get published an opportunity to share their content. So we opened the kimono. They can learn from us, emulate us, and copy our design for free.

Mindvalley CEO and Founder, Vishen Lakhiani, decided to open source all of the company’s processes, frameworks, models, techniques, and technology to create a shift in the online publishing community. But why such a radical move?

“We wanted to have our products touch 500 million lives by 2050, but we felt that there was no way we could hit that goal without doing something radical,” explains Lakhiani during an interview with syndicated radio host, Willie Jolley of ‘The Willie Jolley Weekend Show,’ on Sirius XM. “Only one in every 2,000 authors who apply with us gets published. What about the other 1,999? We wanted to give the other authors who could not get published an opportunity to share their content. So we opened the kimono. They can learn from us, emulate us, and copy our design for free. The same applies to publishing companies that we once saw as competition. We now encourage the competition to emulate and copy our systems."

Mindvalley Insights contains video trainings and tips presented by Mindvalley people who are considered to be experts in their industry. Lakhiani, himself, is a successful social entrepreneur and a sought-after speaker. “I want to establish cooperation from people whom we used to see as our competitors…we believe that this will create a shift in the online publishing industry. By openly sharing our success models on a platform in this way, we allow all publishers in the industry to elevate their game”

Ewa Wysocka, Senior Partner at Mindvalley, launched Mindvalley Insights during the recently concluded Underground Online Seminar 8 in Washington D.C. Some 500 entrepreneurs and online publishers attended the event. Response from the public has been impressive and the idea has been called 'revolutionary'.
