Nike Golf Schools & Junior Golf Camps and the University of Minnesota have agreed to host two week-long Nike Junior Golf Camps in Minneapolis during the summer of 2012.
“We are excited to align with the University of Minnesota for obvious reasons,” explains Jason West, vice president of Nike Golf Schools & Junior Camps. “Minnesota has a prominent Division I golf program, a beautiful campus with its own championship golf course, and a great coaching staff led by John Carlson and Michelle Redman. We feel this could quickly become one of the best junior golf camp locations in the country.”
The Nike Junior Golf Camps at University of Minnesota are scheduled for June 24 – 28 and August 12 – 16, 2012. The programs are coed for junior golfers of all ability levels, ages 10 – 18. All golf activities take place at the University’s Les Bolstad Golf Course. Overnight campers are housed in dorms on campus at the University of Minnesota. Golden Gophers head men’s and women’s golf coaches, John Carlson and Michelle Redman, will serve as camp co-directors with support from their assistant coaches, Tyler Stith and John Cleary. Overnight and commuter options are available for both camp weeks.
"University of Minnesota golf is proud to partner with Nike Golf Schools to offer 2 great weeks of instruction and fun in a great college camp atmosphere in the summer of 2012,” says Head Men’s Golf Coach, John Carlson. “Nike has been a very generous sponsor of our golf program and we are excited to continue this relationship by giving campers the ultimate golf camp experience."
