Mirage Networks Receives Notices of Allowance for Fourth and Fifth U.S. Patents

Mirage Now Has One Patent Awarded, Four Notices of Allowance, and Four Patents Pending

AUSTIN, Texas (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) December 2, 2008 -- Mirage Networks, developer of patented, full-cycle Network Access Control (NAC) technology, today announced that the company received Notices of Allowance for its fourth and fifth U.S. patents and the issue fees have been paid, which will result in the patents being issued in the normal course of business. With one patent awarded in December 2006 and four awards in process, Mirage distances itself even further from the competition in NAC innovation. In addition to these five patents, Mirage has four other patents pending.

Mirage’s success in the NAC market has been driven by innovation, and Mirage’s rapidly growing patent portfolio is indicative of the company’s dominance of the intellectual property race among NAC solutions. Mirage has developed a global base of more than 550 customers in 37 countries, leveraging patented and patent-pending technology to lead the global NAC market. With protected intellectual property, Mirage’s remains the only NAC solution in the world that works for every endpoint in any network environment.

News Image Mirage’s NAC solution enables maximum network performance by controlling network access, isolating non-compliant and threatening endpoints, and providing self-remediation capabilities. Mirage’s network-based solution is the easiest NAC solution to deploy, as it requires no agent software, deploys virtually inline, and works in any network environment.

“Mirage’s technology is like none other than you can find on the market and customers clearly get it,” said Grant Hartline, chief technical officer for Mirage Networks. “Competitive solutions are often rehashed versions of technologies that were designed for another purpose. Our growing NAC patent portfolio is clear evidence of the fact that Mirage builds NAC-specific technology with a high level of innovation for the purpose of solving real customer problems.”

Mirage solutions are made available through Authorized ChannelFirst Partners and can also be delivered as a managed service.
