and we noticed a need for something new, something fresh. All you have to do is go to any store to see the same old worn out styles, year after year.

J & L Mirrors recently unveiled their newest line of custom mirror design: the "Overlay Mirror." This new design features either a flat or a beveled mirror overlaying J & L's exclusive textured art glass.
"Its stylish simplicity and clean lines offer a contemporary look, but still has the ability to feel at home in a traditional décor," says co-owner Laurie Goetzinger. "The genesis of this design was a direct result both of our dealers' input and of current market trends." This new mirror, along with the company's other mirror designs, can be seen at their website: http://www.jlmirrors.com.
J & L Mirrors, located in a small town in the northwest corner of Pennsylvania, was started five years ago by husband and wife team, Jim and Laurie Goetzinger. "We developed a product and technique for applying light-reflective materials to textured surfaces of clear architectural glass," explained Jim. "It took us three years to formulate the right balance of material content and application process before we were ready to bring our product to market."
Why mirrors? "We had been in the mirror market for years," explains Jim, "and we noticed a need for something new, something fresh. All you have to do is go to any store to see the same old worn out styles, year after year." And how has the market reacted?" We have dealers now in five states, and all of them had the same reaction: first they fall in love with the colors (there are more than 67), then they fall in love with the idea of being able to order any size their customers may need if one of our stock sizes just isn't right," replies Laurie with a smile.
Besides selling wholesale through dealers, J & L Mirrors now has a new website for the retail market at http://www.jlmirrors.com. When asked about the website, Jim answers, "It is doing amazingly well. People tell us all the time how happy they are that they found us. Speaking of the website," Laurie adds, "we are currently offering a 20% discount on all mirror orders until December 1, 2009. A 5-month sale for 5 years of business!"
When asked what the future plans are for J & L mirrors, Laurie explains that there are several new textures of glass which will be added to the three already offered, and that J&L is also fine tuning several new mirror designs. "We encourage people to visit our website regularly to see the new additions to our products," she says. "Our other plan," adds Jim, "is to recruit new dealers in areas that we currently don't have a presence in. Our dealers are still our most valuable asset, so we offer wholesale packages designed to fit their specific needs."
