We are excited about working with MISEA Group and the opportunity it brings for a boat owner to discover new ways to personalize their boat’s interior with a variety of lighting options.
Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) August 23, 2012
MISEA Group, LLC announces today that it has formed a strategic partnership with SalVinco, LLC of Sarasota, FL to begin offering the popular Swedish FriLight lighting fixtures and LED bulbs using Bee Green technology.
Orca Green Marine (OGM), and Signal Mate formed MISEA (pronounced MY-SEA) when they merged in 2011, creating a single source solution center to make a boat as safe and energy efficient as possible.
MISEA’s full line of harsh-environment navigation light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and safety-control solutions enable recreational, commercial and military marine boaters to be safe on the water and save money in the process. With the addition of a full line of interior fixtures and LED bulbs, MISEA offers its customers one-stop shopping for LED boat lighting and other energy-efficient products. Popular FriLight fixtures have been used by a number of boatbuilders over the decades including, Beneteau, Catalina, Bayliner, SeaRay, Hunter, Carver and Nordic Tugs. MISEA will offer these and other interior LED fixtures to boatbuilders as part of their “whole boat” offering of LED lighting.
“Our vision has always been to offer an LED version of all available boat lighting,” said Meghan Matthews, founder of OGM and principal in the MISEA Group. “We started manufacturing LED navigation lights in 2002 as LED technology was just beginning to advance and before warm white LEDs were available. We feel that the technology has stabilized and is finally at a point where interior lighting is both bright enough and pleasing enough to provide a comfortable alternative to traditional incandescent lights.”
MISEA chose FriLight fixtures with Bee Green LED technology because of the history of the FriLight brand with both US and European boatbuilders and plans to continue the traditional style while incorporating technology consistent with the new energy-efficient era.
SalVinco founder, Karen Potter, remarks, “We wanted our LED bulb line to ‘Bee’ different by specifically addressing issues within the marine environment. While we offer some 12v ac/dc models, the majority of our 75+ Bee Green LED bulbs range from 10-30v dc and (many models) feature a fuse and transient suppressor to protect from current overload and voltage spikes. Bee Green LED bulbs are available in varying brightness levels and LED color choices as warm white, cool white, red, blue or combination colors. We are excited about working with MISEA Group and the opportunity it brings for a boat owner to discover new ways to personalize their boat’s interior with a variety of lighting options.”
Matthews added, “We’ll augment SalVinco’s rich line with additional “smart” features and controllers along the way to provide an onboard experience for our customers that is safe, comfortable and long lasting.”
