Mitchell Vazquez now supports the Inner City Scholarship Fund that helps remove the fundamental challenge of getting a good education in a safe, secure environment in New York City. Every child’s need is different and so they have different kind of scholarship programs to fit every need.
Mitchell Vazquez is one of the philanthropic donors of Inner City that help children receive a catholic education in the New York City. He wants to help those children who have the potential but cannot enhance it and achieve their goals due to lack of means. He is a product of the public school system in the Seattle suburb of Mercer Island, WA and this experience combined with his efforts and abilities earned him a full scholarship to Stanford University.
Nearly 70% of the students enrolled in the 93 designated elementary and secondary inner-city schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island come from homes living at or below the federal poverty line. His family did not have the means to fund his education, so he financed it himself through a scholarship, student loans, and part time work. As an ardent benefactor, Mitch Vazquez realizes the challenges some children face in their life to complete their education.
