The idea is to use the internet to really supercharge the exposure of these events and increase ticket sales

BattlePass.com today unveiled BattlePass Pro, a streamlined version of the original BattlePass MMA ticketing system. BattlePass CEO Jeff Gale said the system is available immediately at no charge to qualifying fight promoters, and that fight promoters who use the BattlePass product for their events may also qualify for free hard tickets throughout the remainder of 2009.
BattlePass.com has been in business as a combat event and MMA ticketing provider since 2008. The BattlePass Pro product, Gale says, is the direct result of working with fight promoters and listening to their needs. "Fight promoters often wear several hats - matchmaking, securing sponsorships, and managing employees, for example. We recognized that there was a unique opportunity to provide a valuable service to this community of entrepreneurs."
BattlePass Pro has several key features built specifically for combat and MMA promoters:
It is free to the promoter. Ticket-buying customers are charged low per-ticket fees for online and phone sales; the promoter receives the full face value of the ticket.
It has a simple one-step setup. By simply filling out a form online, promoters can have tickets for their event on sale via the web at BattlePass.com, and over the phone through 877-MMA-TIXX.
Advanced marketing capabilities help promoters sell more tickets - The newly designed BattlePass.com website is a central clearinghouse for all combat event and MMA tickets, and features the ability to filter event listings by state. In addition, BattlePass will distribute event information via the BattlePass Fightwire Newsletter, the BattlePass network of partner sites, The BattleBuzz Blog, and the BattlePass social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter. "The idea is to use the internet to really supercharge the exposure of these events and increase ticket sales," Gale explains.
BattlePass Pro does not require promoters to learn to use any new software. Sales Reports and will call lists are emailed out at regular intervals leading up to the event.

BattlePass.com was originally launched in 2008 as the only ticketing and event marketing system built for MMA and combat events. In 2009 the site expanded to carry the most comprehensive list of MMA and combat events on the web. BattlePass is powered by TicketBiscuit, the ticketing and event marketing system currently used by hundreds of promoters and venues nationwide.
