We’re excited to announce our compatibility with Android devices, especially as their user base continues to grow.
Rochester, NY (Vocus) October 1, 2010
BlueTie, a leading provider of hosted email and collaboration solutions for businesses, today announced that its best-in-class email and calendaring application now has the ability to sync to smart phones running the Android operating system using BlueTie’s Mobile Sync service. Contacts, in addition to email, are captured when Android devices are synced with BlueTie’s application.
BlueTie’s Mobile and Outlook sync feature supports over 800 mobile devices, and uses a setup wizard within BlueTie’s webmail application that pushes free required software to the user’s mobile device. Mobile Sync provides users with anywhere access to mission critical messages and ensures the same consistent set of information between mobile devices and BlueTie’s email client.
“Our mobile sync service has gained significant traction in all markets,” said Shawn Ryan, Product Manager, BlueTie. “We’re excited to announce our compatibility with Android devices, especially as their user base continues to grow.”
NPD Group, a leading market research firm, reported that Android devices lead the US smart phone market, capturing a 34% market share in Q2 2010.
BlueTie also announced their Real-Time Mobile Email service is now available to Android users as well. Real time mobile email pushes email messages to mobile devices instantly saving time and battery life as mobile devices are no longer polling for new messages.
