The service continues to deliver live traffic information including CCTV footage, speed of traffic flow and information on congestion or delays to any Java, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and now iPhone or Android mobile handset.

Traffic TV v3.0 covers 100% of the UK's motorways and 95% of the country's trunk roads with access to 7,500 traffic sensors and over 1,500 CCTV cameras, so ensuring that drivers can make sure they avoid the congestion and save hours of wasted time. Indeed in a recent survey indicated that drivers using traffic warning applications could save themselves 2.5 days a year driving and cut carbon emissions by 20%. So TrafficTV represents an excellent way to save time, money and the environment.

David James, CEO of mxData said: "The new version of Traffic TV includes all of the same time saving journey planning functionality but the user experience really is much more intuitive. The most exciting development for us though is the integration with selected mobile operators' local search services. It's now really easy for Orange users to plan their journey then hone in on their destination and access local information. This is a much more complete solution."

Traffic TV already has over 100,000 subscribers who will be upgraded to V3.0 for free.

The application is available to download from http://wap.traffictv.co.uk/
Orange customers can download TrafficTV by texting traffictv to 247
iPhone users can find TrafficTV in the App Store
