Mobile Diagnostic Centers LP, has entered into a purchase agreement with MEI Development to purchase the mobile imaging scanner. "Our deposit was accepted and the deal is expected to close by the third quarter of this year with delivery to take place soon thereafter," said Michael Blumenthal, President & CEO of Mobile Imaging Development and General Partner of Mobile Diagnostic Centers. "We are excited to purchase our first Mobile PET/CT scanner through our strategic alliance with MEI Development. The GE Gold Seal Certified Discovery ST 4 PET/CT scanner is configured mobile ready in a trailer with a HotLab and is installed with 2D and 3D PET. "This PET/CT Scanner offers Mobile Diagnostic Centers, some of the best medical imaging technology available today," Blumenthal added. The scanner will be installed into an Oshkosh trailer and the trailer body will be painted with the Mobile Diagnostic Centers LP logo.
"GE will provide onsite training to the Mobile Diagnostic Centers' staff with 6 days of PET and 6 days of CT training. Additionally, all equipment comes with a 12 month warranty," said Blumenthal. Blumenthal continued, "We feel that the Oshkosh trailer offers Mobile Diagnostic Centers' partners and patients the most comfortable and cutting edge facilities." The mobile imaging trailer is equipped with two slide-out sections creating an additional 65 cubic feet of interior space. The mobile imaging trailer can run on its own power source, a 100 KW Kohler diesel generator. For added safety the trailer comes with an approved anti-lock braking system.
