Aeritas LLC (http://www.aeritas.com)] has reacquired its extensive mobile barcode patent portfolio from GTECH Corporation (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., traded on the Italian Stock Exchange (LTO)). Aeritas is a Dallas-based mobile applications company whose principals pioneered the mobile barcode and mobile ticketing space. Its patents, including many granted as well as several still pending in the U.S. and 30 other countries, cover a broad range of mobile applications. The Company's patents and technologies encompass processes that enable 1D and 2D barcode and other images to be displayed on the screens of mobile devices and used for a wide range of payment, mobile ticketing and other transactions.

Aeritas' CEO Malik Mamdani noted: "I am delighted that the mobile barcode and mobile ticketing applications we originated over seven years ago have proven their potential worldwide. Businesses and consumers are finding that mobile barcode and mobile ticket solutions are easy to use and offer substantial cost-savings. They strengthen customer relationships and allow companies unparalleled opportunities to securely authenticate and personalize services. We are presently pursuing several exciting opportunities for new partnerships and licensing agreements for the Company's patents and applications."

Aeritas' patents and technology encompass systems and methods that enable images, such as 1D and 2D barcodes, to be transmitted and displayed on the screens of mobile devices, including cell phones, PDAs, Blackberry and other handheld devices as well as laptop computers. These barcodes and other images can be scanned directly from the screens of most mobile devices currently used by consumers today. The display (or screen) of the cell phone or mobile device serves as an electronic mobile ticket, coupon or ID. There's no waiting in line at a store, box office or for a paper ticket to arrive in the mail. Downloading is instant. Businesses do not have to install or purchase new hardware. Barcode images displayed on customers' mobile phone screens can be read by the scanners already deployed at point of sale (POS) terminals by millions of businesses.

Aeritas' patented techniques, already in use, are revolutionizing new paperless transactions for sports, concert and event mobile ticketing, airline, train and bus tickets and boarding passes, mobile payments, retail coupons, prepayments and customer loyalty promotions, and a wide range of other uses. The Company's mission -to redefine the customer experience for the mobile world--is rapidly coming to fruition. Customers have been saved from waiting in line at airports and sports stadiums; businesses have been enabled to transmit offers and mobile tickets instantly; and the environment has been spared the waste occasioned by paper and printing processes.

Aeritas , headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a leading innovator of mobile technology solutions. The Company's open-standards applications offer secure, user-friendly mobile commerce and mobile ticketing solutions for the travel, leisure, hospitality, sports and entertainment, and retail industries.
