Leading online mobile accessories retailer, Mobile Fun, experienced a record seven days of orders during 10 - 16 December 2012. Over 14,800 total orders were placed by customers across all Mobile Fun websites. This represents an increase of 17% per cent over the previous busiest week in the company's thirteen year history.

Mohammed Hussain, Managing Director at Mobile Fun, explains: “The recently-launched websites in Australia, Belgium and the US boosted our order figures, while continuing demand for mobile accessories from our sister sites, such as LoveCases.co.uk also contributed significantly.”

Last week represented the busiest pre-Christmas shopping week for Mobile Fun, and orders were up 23% on the same period last year. With many consumers preferring not to battle the crowds and wet, windy winter weather to find Christmas gifts, the online retailer, which delivers to over 50 countries worldwide, had anticipated this surge in orders and recently started opening its warehouse seven days a week to meet continuing customer demand.

Mohammed continued: “Hero devices, such as the iPad Mini and iPhone 5, are proving popular Christmas gifts, so we are stocking the widest range of accessories for these devices. In bringing these accessories to market ahead of the festive period, we are sure to see orders jump even further in the run up to Christmas.”

Founded in 2000, the independently-owned and award-winning online retailer recently announced that it is seeking a buyer to support the Company in achieving its international expansion ambitions.

Mohammed concluded: “During this process, it’s business as usual at Mobile Fun as our team is working on a record Christmas quarter.”

In the financial year ending 31st March 2012, Mobile Fun’s total revenue exceeded £10 million. For year ending 31st March 2013, the Company is on course to launch 20 new countries and hit sales of £12+ million with a predicted EBITDA of £1.2 million.
