Explore Talent announced the release of a new story today on the site, titled, "Alec Baldwin Alledgedly Punches LA Daily News Photographer." Explore Talent is the world's largest source of auditions and casting calls, posting calls for modeling for clothing stores and hair modeling.
The news article states that what started out as a happy day, soon turned nasty for "30 Rock" actor, Alec Baldwin. After walking out of a Marriage License Bureau in New York City with his fiance, Hilaria Thompson, a yoga instructor, Baldwin became enraged at photographers who took the couple's photo.
NY Daily News reports today that Baldwin ended up punching a New York Daily News photographer, Marcus Santos. Santos described the scenario as follows: “He was looking mad. He said, ‘Step back, step back.’ I said, ‘We’re moving back.’”
Santos goes on to say that Baldwin, 54, then grabbed Jefferson Siegel, another Daily News photographer, but Santos told the actor to stop: “I said, ‘Don’t touch him.'I knew he was going to attack me. I stepped back, and he kept coming. He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me — one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way.”
Santos told the Daily News that he contacted the NYPD to fill an assault complaint against the "Rock of Ages" actor, who had attacked two photographers in the past.
Baldwin tweeted the following about the incident: “A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning. #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded”
Following that, Matthew Hiltzik, a spokesperson for Baldwin released a statement that said, “The photographer was clearly frustrated, pushed past the bystanders and assaulted Alec with his camera. There were no punches thrown, and any subsequent physical contact was simply Alec protecting himself.”
The police are currently investigating the incident, according to NY Daily News.
