Monarch Mountain Season Pass Holders get two-for-one rafting at River Runners.

Already the best deal in the Colorado ski industry, the One World One Pass is now the best deal in the Colorado rafting industry.

River Runners, a whitewater rafting company on the Arkansas River with locations in Buena Vista and Canon City, CO, will offer two-for-one whitewater rafting discounts to season pass holders at Monarch Mountain Ski Area on advanced bookings reserved for June 15 – August 15, 2012.

Scott Peterson, marketing director at River Runners, said the Colorado rafting company will offer other early-bird specials starting May 1, but the Monarch Mountain promotion is the best deal of the 2012 Arkansas River rafting season.

“We are excited to be partnering with Monarch Mountain to provide pass holders this added benefit,” Peterson said. “Already the best deal in the Colorado ski industry, the One World One Pass is now the best deal in the Colorado rafting industry.”

According to Peterson, the promotion is good at both River Runners rafting locations, limited to one discount per season pass holder and for advanced bookings only.

“We offer a wide range of rafting trips from two whitewater rafting centers near Colorado Springs, Denver and Colorado ski areas,” Peterson said. “The accessibility of the Arkansas River combined with its abundant whitewater and beautiful scenery has made it one of the most popular rafting rivers in the world.”

The River Runners Riverside Rafting Resort is situated on the banks of the Arkansas River and is less than two hours from Colorado Springs and around two hours from Denver. Peterson said in addition to the group campsites, sand volleyball court and Riverside Bar and Grill – the biggest draw is the private beach and launch site for Browns Canyon, a popular class three rafting trip in Colorado.

“Our rafting resort is the best place to raft Browns Canyon,” Peterson said. “No shuttle to the put-in and no carrying the raft down steep stairs at the public launch site make for a relaxing lead-up to your rafting adventure.”

Peterson said the River Runners Royal Gorge Rafting Center is popular for people wanting to go whitewater rafting close to Colorado Springs and Denver. Here you can go whitewater rafting through the Royal Gorge (class IV-V) and Bighorn Sheep Canyon (class III-IV).

River Runners will celebrate 40 years of whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River in 2012. Fully guided beginner intermediate and advanced rafting trips are offered daily May - September from the River Runners Royal Gorge Rafting Center and the River Runners Riverside Rafting Resort.
