I had Angels on my side and Angels in bunker gear.
Brooksville, Florida (PRWEB) April 26, 2012
This month's Car Show benefited firefighter Tony Carollo who was injured while on duty. What a great event it turned out to be. The Florida weather didn't let them down as it was rainy for a good part of the day. There was a great turnout from the Hernando County Community, as well as a lot of beautiful show cars. They were all able to raise a substantial amount for the Carollo family in order to help them with there large amount of medical bills and loss of funds due to time out of work.
Tony was injured on January 28th while he was on duty and trying to save a family’s home. Tony was called in to work that day to assist his department. During the time of fighting the fire, Tony had gone into cardiac arrest and his fellow firefighters had to resuscitate him. "I had Angels on my side and Angels in bunker gear," said Tony Carollo. This is what the Monster Transmission and Chick-fil-A Cruise-In is all about. Coming together as a community to help make a difference.
The Monster Transmission and Chick-fil-A Cruise-In has grown each month and enabled them to give back to the community and the local Charities. During the cruise-in events it isn't just a car show, there is a DJ who brings live entertainment, a spin wheel where everyone is a winner, raffles and much more. All proceeds raised from these are then presented to the participating cause. This is a free event for the show cars and the spectators. The focus is on bringing awareness to the Charity or Cause. You can see for yourself and watch the video of the cruise-in to hear the interview with Tony Carollo and many of the show car owners.
