Moonchild Releases the Mixtape “Love for the Game”

Hip-hop producer Moonchild has released the mixtape “Love for the Game.” The 15 track project is now available for download and features Michigan artists Drew32, Jus Ra, C Reid, PHD, Majestik Legend, Noveliss, Glory, Hood, Trav WIlliams, P. Dub, and more.

Moonchild is a producer from Detroit who has been influenced by hip-hop since his childhood. As a child, he watched his uncle, older brother, and cousin become respected musicians in Michigan which intrigued him to follow in their footsteps.

As an advocate for Michigan hip-hop, he has released several collaboration projects with local artists. His mixtape “Love of Music Part 1” presented by Kevin Nottingham, received positive recognition in both the US and Europe. The project was featured on several blogs including Planet Ill,, Hiphopdx, Urb Magazine, Okayplayer, Real Detroit, Pot In My Holes, Urbanologymag. Whutupdoe, Rawroots,,, and more.

Moonchild is the President of Hi-Hill Recordings and is working on his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He plans to release 4 new projects before the end of the year.

“Hip hop is expression to me. As a young kid listening to it, I’ve always loved it. Once I’d got an ear for it and started to create, it was an outlet for me. I realized I could stay out of trouble and express myself in a positive way. Hip-hop is a Saviour for me,” says Moonchild.
