"It's a great feeling to know there were many talented designers that had entered the competition and I received an award," Schebesch said. "Morgan Drexen (http://www.morgandrexen.com) fosters an atmosphere that allows me to push design to the limits and trusts my decisions will work best for our company and our clients."
"We're all very proud of Steve's work," said Morgan Drexen CEO Walter Ledda.
"He's not only responsible for our logos and print material; he oversees the management of more than 55 attorney websites across the country,” Ledda said.
Schebesch won an APEX for the evolution of the Morgan Drexen Logo. The Awards for Publication Excellence (APEX) recognize editors, writers and designers in a variety of media, including print, web and electronic communications.
The Visual Design Director says he likes to begin with words that he places on the drawing board as he’s designing his material.
“This allows me to focus on what the final glyph should communicate,” he said.
“Words like ‘Power, Strength and Dependability’ were used for the Morgan Drexen horse. What was achieved was an image containing simple lines and the sense of power, strength and elegance. The horse logo looks as if it could break through a brick wall. I kept the text simple and opened the space between the characters to give the logo a lighter look."
Morgan Drexen provides integrated support services for attorneys, including back office support, proprietary software and paralegal support.
The Costa Mesa-based company employs 325 people and recently celebrated its fifth anniversary.
