Morgan Drexen Celebrates New Legal Secretaries

“We invest in our employees, even paying for their education, to help them become more efficient workers who are challenged and rewarded for their hard work,” said CEO Walter Ledda.

Legal support services company Morgan Drexen (http://www.morgandrexen.com) celebrated the graduation of six new legal secretaries Wednesday night. The employees completed a university-based program through the Center for Legal Studies, making them eligible to assist attorneys supported by Morgan Drexen with legal documents.

“We invest in our employees, even paying for their education, to help them become more efficient workers who are challenged and rewarded for their hard work,” said CEO Walter Ledda.

And that’s what graduate Brandi Reeves said it took – a lot of effort and balancing workday demands with the deadlines required by the attorneys the company supports.

“It took about an extra four hours a day, in addition to my regular work schedule,” said the employee.

“But it was wonderful to learn something new.”

The company's CEO was in attendance at a celebratory dinner for the graduates at Antonello Ristorante in Santa Ana, as was the company’s General Counsel Jeffrey Katz.

”Morgan Drexen values ‘product excellence,’” Katz said.

“The company’s product is a function of its software and its human resources. When our employees take the time and effort to hone their skills, it makes our product highly competitive and more effective.”

Katz was recently nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s General Counsel award, which recognizes outstanding attorneys in Southern California.

The legal secretary curriculum is administered by California State University at Monterey Bay, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Morgan Drexen paid for the employees to attend the course, which allows for increased responsibilities and potential for promotion within the company.

“In an effort to broaden the pool of future leaders here at Morgan Drexen, we structure our incentives for advancement by providing the best possible education available,” said Director of Strategic Planning Susan Muzila.

“The education continues to enhance the services we provide to our attorney clients,” she said.

Morgan Drexen provides software, administrative and paralegal support to attorneys nationwide.
