Actor, writer and producer, Morgan Shaw-Fox recently announced the formation of his improv team. The team, which is made up of seven other classmates who study with Morgan Shaw-Fox at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, are called Khaki Pants.
Morgan Shaw-Fox decided to call the team Khaki Pants since prior to forming the team, he and several other classmates spontaneously performed and all wore khaki pants, due to lack of a better title, they decided to stick with the name Khaki Pants.

The Theatre runs a training center that offers numerous classes suited for all improv levels, from starter to advanced. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is dedicated to fostering both an appreciation and education of the arts through affordable and high-quality comedic performances and classes.
“I learn a lot about myself through the improv routines,” said Morgan Shaw-Fox, 25, originally from Boulder, Colorado.
Morgan Shaw-Fox and his fellow Khaki Pants team members plan to use the lessons they learned in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre classroom as a jump board. They are currently working on their act and are planning to perform around Los Angeles. The team has recently performed at the Loft in downtown Los Angeles.
“Some of the basic skills improvisation teaches actors are to listen and be aware of the other players, to have clarity in communication, and confidence to find choices instinctively and spontaneously,” Morgan Shaw-Fox said. “Knowing how to improvise off the script helps me perform better in all my other ventures.”
Morgan Shaw-Fox’s other pursuits include his recent launching of a production company called the Watchword Film Collective. Watchword Film Collective is five Los Angeles-based filmmakers attempt at producing forefront media that is created with a fresh perspective and a collaborative spirit.
