Mothernode CRM has officially become a contender in CRM Idol 2012, after entering the competition in May. The first major milestone is qualifying eligible companies (CRM Software) for the competition and dismissing entries that fall short of meeting the criteria. Mothernode, LLC was proud to hear the news that their CRM product made the first cut.

Mothernode watched CRM Idol unfold last season while in the process of spinning off Mothernode CRM from their flagship product Mothernode ERP. They included CRM Idol 2012 as part of their marketing strategy for their sister CRM. In fact, the decision to participate in CRM Idol helped influence the shape of Mothernode’s 2012 product development initiatives.

This year’s competition coincides with some of the most exciting developments that Mothernode CRM (and ERP) have experienced to date, including enterprise social CRM, IOS and Android apps, all to be released this summer prior to the round of presentations.

“We’re entering this competition with our eyes wide-open. We believe in our product and the potential it brings to our customers, but this is no doubt a great opportunity to learn from our peers in the market, noting all lessons right or wrong”, Pearson explains. “This will only have a positive effect on our growth and mission to continually outdo ourselves as a company and service provider. CRM Idol made its debut in 2011 and was created to showcase lesser-known or newer and innovative CRM products that deserve attention, yet consistently lack that recognition. In the spirit of Fox’s American Idol television show, the competition spotlights a variety of CRM and SCRM products in hopes of introducing top new talent. In the case of CRM Idol, the mission focuses on groundbreaking technologies and solutions in the world of CRM software.

The competition was founded by Paul Greenberg, President of the 56 Group, author of CRM at the Speed of Light, and award winning blogger. His reputation as the Godfather of CRM gave him the ability and support to assemble an all-star cast of CRM experts and analysts that include Jesus Hoyos, Esteban Kolsky, Denis Pombriant, and Brent Leary. Greenberg has also secured the interest and support of leading vendors and media partners in the CRM community such as Salesforce.com, Infusionsoft and CRM Magazine, just to name a few. Marketo’s CEO Phil Fernandez was even announced as one of the 2012 judges.

Last year’s CRM Idol Competition produced rewards for many of the finalists, above and beyond the prizes offered by the CRM Idol competition. This absolutely has the CRM industry waiting with anticipation to see who the next CRM Idols will be.
