Motionsoft Inc, the leader in the health and fitness membership management software space, today announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Custom Design Systems, a privately-held gym software company headquartered in Freehold, New Jersey. Motionsoft is acquiring CDS's PowerManagement Software to further expand its footprint in the health, fitness and wellness markets. As a result, Motionsoft will assume development and support responsibilities for the application suite. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

"Our experience of having completed three acquisitions in the past 4 years will make this a seamless transition for CDS customers. Keeping the CDS support and development staff fully intact; and now part of our team here at Motionsoft will help us accomplish this goal," he added.

The combined company will offer Motionsoft's eClubLogic suite of applications to PowerManagement users, leveraging Motionsoft's Microsoft Competency with the advantages of .net development tools. The acquisition is expected to increase the size of Motionsoft's footprint in the industry to over 1,600 facilities.
