Lectronix Introduces the R5000, “All in one” Safety, Navigation and Entertainment System for Class A Motor Homes, Replacing Five Systems with One

Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, the R5000 lets motor home drivers manage five critical areas of their vehicle: external cameras; the air pressure of their motor home and towed vehicle tires; navigation; vehicle status and alarms; and audio information and entertainment, with a single screen, interface and system. Using real-time vehicle information and alarms, the driver can reduce or prevent many unwanted maintenance stops. The R5000 also integrates side and rear-camera and microphone, AM/FM/WB radio, trip monitors, CD/MP3/USB players and Garmin’s ®Street Pilot Navigation. The flexible design allows for a variety of additional options including a “plug and play” XM or Sirius satellite radio and iPOD audio input.

Lansing, Michigan (PRWEB) September 29, 2006 -- Until now, motor home drivers have had to use separate systems, monitors and receivers, to handle navigation, safety and audio entertainment. Now utilizing state-of-the-art technology, the R5000 provides drivers with a single interface to manage five critical areas: external cameras; the air pressure of their motor home and towed vehicle tires; navigation; vehicle status and alarms; and audio information and entertainment.

“The best thing is everything in one package . . It's an outstanding product, I am very pleased with it,” commented, Terry F. Terry and Debbie tried out the R5000 in their Fleetwood American Heritage (a 45 ft, Class A diesel pusher) motor home during a two-week, 4,000-mile trip from Chicago, IL to Tucson, AZ.

Using real-time vehicle information and alarms, the driver can reduce or prevent many unwanted maintenance stops. The R5000’s advanced vehicle management and alarm system provides ongoing status information, including oil temperatures, fuel economy, and alternator status. A red pop-up message appears on the 7” color LCD screen when any of these systems run outside of normal conditions. Under or over inflated tires trigger the R5000’s Advanced Pressure Pro® wireless tire pressure sensor system, giving drivers the opportunity to adjust or replace a tire on their motor home, towed car or trailer before failure.

“With the R5000, Lectronix has integrated the latest in safety, entertainment and navigation technology. Now, RV drivers can quickly access the wealth of practical and valuable vehicle and driver information found in the R5000 through a single interface,” said Frank Pellitta, Lectronix V.P. of Sales and Marketing.

In addition to these features, the R5000 integrates trip monitors, side and rear-cameras, AM/FM/WB radio, CD/MP3/USB players and Garmin’s GPS Navigation system. The flexible design allows for a variety of additional options including a “plug and play” XM or Sirius satellite radio and iPOD audio input.
