More and more women are starting to ride bikes and we wanted them to have a place where they didn't have to search through mostly men's gear to find gear made for ladies.

The Biker's Den, Inc., announced today the launch of its new Internet retail site just for female motorcycle enthusiasts, LadyBikersDen. This marks the fourth website in The Biker's Den, Inc., family of motorcycle gear and accessories websites, joining sister sites BikersDen, DirtBikersDen and StreetBikersDen.
LadyBikersDen.com was created to address a need for better products and accessibility for women motorcycle riders. All of the items carried on the site are either specifically made for women or are unisex approved. Said co-owner Kurt Laschuk: "More and more women are starting to ride bikes and we wanted them to have a place where they didn't have to search through mostly men's gear to find gear made for ladies."
The Bikers' Den websites are run by husband and wife team Kurt and Sarah Laschuk , who founded and own The Bikers' Den, Inc. Incorporated in 2003, the company has opened one website every year since 2006, hitting one million dollars in gross sales in 2008. With the launch of LadyBikersDen, the company is projecting potential total gross sales of two million dollars by the end of 2009.
Explained Kurt Laschuk, "Even though The Bikers' Den has never been able to secure financing from any bank, our business has exceeded all of our expectations. We went from wondering how we would pay for diapers for our baby boy when we first started this business to a thriving company with ten employees. The reason for this is simple: my wife and I care about our customers, the motorcycle industry, our products and, most importantly, each other."
BikersDen.com and all subsequent websites were created and developed by Kurt Laschuk with many design ideas emanating from his much more artistic wife, Sarah. "I wrote the code for the websites and fixed the bugs, but I couldn't have designed any of it without Sarah. If she doesn't like it, it's gone... eventually. We have yet to contract out an IT project. I find it hard to let go of something I've been building and improving on for over 7 years. Eventually, however, we do see the need for our own in house IT department. Until then, you'll find me crouched over my laptop writing code, adding products and cropping pictures."
The company's philosophy is that anyone who enjoys motorcycles in any way is a member of the biker community. The Laschuks live this philosophy by offering the best merchandise at reasonable prices, providing stellar customer service, and continually reaching out to new segments of the community, as with LadyBikersDen. Added Laschuk, "We support the biker community wholeheartedly and sponsor many Motorcycle Events across Canada and the US. We see all bikers as equals, no matter what you ride or who you ride with. We are focused on providing motorcycle products that enhance the enjoyment and safety of riding".
