New Baby Boomer Ballads Site Creates New Songs with 60s-70s-80s Ballad Sound

There was a time when love ballads were prominent on the radio, TV, and in film. Now there is a unique place that revives the sound of 60s, 70s, and 80s ballads. It is not an "oldies" radio station. Instead, it is a website with contemporary songs that could have been popular when baby boomers where teenagers, but had to wait until now to be heard.

Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) June 28, 2009 -- Is the 60s-70s-80s ballad style relevant as a template for brand-new songs today? A click on:
NewBabyBoomerBallads plays brand-new songs that could have been hits back then. The "old" baby boomer ballads sound is re-created in 2009 by writing and introducing "new" baby boomer ballads to the listening audience. It is the only venue with this format. All songs play here for the first time ever, in their entirety.

The idea for the site came from musician and songwriter, Ken Darms, "I want to form a site where everyone can enjoy brand new ballads that bring back that great feeling of the old songs, without simply recycling those same old tunes ... a place that emulates role models like Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder."

Artists post their new songs on the site, and anyone can hear them for free.
Each month, there is a featured artist's new song on the "Music" page of the site:
Comments and ideas for new songs are welcome.

Future plans include an interactive page, where writers summit their new songs, and
listeners vote for which ones go on the upcoming CD, "the Best of the New Baby Boomer Ballads Band," and, an internet radio station, "the New Baby Boomer Ballads Bandwagon, climb aboard."

With the participation of artists and listeners, this new venue is a way to rejuvenate the essence of 60s-70s-80s music. By posting their songs on the site(free for them and the listeners), songwriters & musicians hope to channel the spirit of such singers as James
Taylor, Lionel Richie, Kenny Rogers, or Phil Collins into new listening pleasures.
