They point toward the good things we have in life that we tend to overlook. The poems force the readers to look at the brighter side of life.

In her new book of poetry, “Wanton Thoughts” (published by Trafford Publishing), Mukta Arya offers readers a mosaic of feelings and emotions. She describes it as a narration of events, as well as thoughts inspired by people, places and emotions.

Arya looks to everyday life for inspiration. Her poems offer readers a lyrical glimpse into her experiences. She opens up about a range of emotions, from the ecstasy of achievements to the depth of depression due to lost love. She says, “The poems take readers through waves and crests and give a little nudge with a twist on the words.

An excerpt from “Wanton Thoughts”:

“Faith is when you don’t even have to say something,
And he/she knows what you want exactly . . .
Faith is when you don’t think twice about calling them,
Or land on their doorstep unannounced . . .

Faith cannot be measured,
Faith is just felt.”

Arya hopes readers find inspiration in “Wanton Thoughts.” “The poems are positive and look towards the future,” she says. “They point toward the good things we have in life that we tend to overlook. The poems force the readers to look at the brighter side of life.”
