Jay Freedman, the force behind innovative corporate marketing programs that generated more than $40 million in just six years, has launched Fusion Innovative Marketing (, a multimedia cross-platform marketing firm. Fusion has already been hired to create and implement marketing campaigns for radio stations owned by significant broadcasters including Beasley, CBS Radio, ABC Radio, Cumulus, Greater Media, Emmis, Citadel and Entercom. In addition, Fusion is in process of signing deals with other nationally known corporations.

Freedman is a 20 year marketing veteran who spent nearly a decade as Vice President of Marketing for Clear Channel & Premiere Radio Networks. He developed marketing solutions for hundreds of stations and their clients through more than 500 custom programs a year. Freedman also created strategies and marketing plans for SFX Sports, SFX Entertainment, Clear Channel Entertainment and Multimedia, supporting an array of national marketing objectives and corporate initiatives. Previously, Freedman promoted concerts in Miami and throughout the Southeast, directed radio promotions in collaboration with Universal Music Entertainment and Sony Music, and led global marketing efforts for large consumer brands Ocean Pacific, Jimmy'z, and Bum Equipment.

Fusion will concentrate in three distinct areas--live events, sports promotion and marketing, and broadcast sales marketing. Client programs will scale according to need, from local to national in scope.

In making the announcement, Freedman commented, "In such a wide-open, cutthroat environment, it's an absolute must to constantly innovate and develop new programs for advertisers. The key is to bring more value to your clients and differentiate yourself from the competition. That's where Fusion will dominate, by providing our clients full service, turn-key programs that produce revenue. We're not in the cookie-cutter promotion business. We deliver custom solutions and educate sellers and managers on how to sell these opportunities."

Fusion is assembling a world class support staff, (including rejoining key former members) featuring the industry's best sport writers, graphic designers, web designers and programmers. In addition, Fusion has entered into a strategic creative services partnership with Steelhead Advertising, an award winning Oregon-based creative agency. Jason Ehrlich, Steelhead President, said, "We have worked with Jay for more than three years and we are blown away by the success of the campaigns we've done together. We are extremely excited about what the future holds and the expanded services that both our companies now offer."

"We are excited to work with Jay and his new team," says Fox Sports Radio VP/GM Andrew Ashwood. "He has delivered throughout the years some of the most memorable events and promotions on our network. With his help, we have been able to take Fox Sports Radio beyond the speakers and put our sponsors, our more than 300 affiliates, and our brands in front of hundreds of thousands of our customers in unique and innovative ways. We cannot wait to get started again with Jay and Fusion."

"Clear Channel Television stations have had great success working with Jay," says William Moll, Chairman. "He's been instrumental in creating significant incremental revenue as well as creating greater share. We're looking forward to working once again with Jay and his team."

"Jay has been Broadcast Architecture's partner for several years," says President Allen Kepler. "He's an expert in the smooth jazz format and has created programs for our stations that are dynamic and lucrative. We look forward to working with Jay and Fusion as we expand our smooth jazz network across the US."

Fusion Innovative Marketing is based in Los Angeles, with an office in Miami and can be reached at 310-407-0740.
