The Webinar to Cover Some of the More Advanced Multimedia Localization Issues

The webinar will address some of the typical multimedia localization issues which frequently make the process of localizing multimedia unnecessarily long, expensive and error-prone.

Moravia Worldwide, a leading globalization solution provider, is pleased to announce it will host a live webinar entitled "Multimedia Localization: Clearing Roadblocks to Efficiency." It will address some of the typical multimedia localization issues which frequently make the process of localizing multimedia unnecessarily long, expensive and error-prone.

Scheduled for Wednesday February 23, 2011, 11:00 EDT (8:00 PDT, 17:00 CET), this 60-minute webinar is a follow-up to the introductory webinar Best Practices in Localizing Multimedia Content that Moravia delivered in 2010 (recording available). This part of the series will cover some of the more advanced multimedia localization issues in more detail. We will look at:

  • text layer processing
  • video rendering requirements
  • asset creation and makeup
  • advanced subtitling techniques

Each demo will contain recommendations and potential benefits of a given solution. This webinar is aimed at managers and engineers who handle multimedia projects for localization.

There is no denying the fact that the amount of multimedia localization has exploded over the past several years. Yet, the process of localizing multimedia – whether eLearning components, Interactive Voice Response Systems, audio files, videos, animations, Adobe® Flash® content, or rich online presentations – is still far from being as straightforward as what the established industry experience is with the more traditional formats such as software, documentation or web content.

Presented by Roman Civin, Moravia's Solution Architect, and Petr Knapek, Project Manager at Moravia's Multimedia and Publishing Group, the webinar will provide practical, actionable insights that companies can use to optimize their multimedia localization processes and work effectively with the many stakeholders in the process – authors, content developers, engineers and localization providers. Participants will take away practical information to help them improve the turnaround times on multimedia localization and manage costs.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 11:00 EDT (8:00 PDT, 17:00 CET). Space is limited. Reserve your webinar seat now at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/120286842. After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
