BEAT100 have introduced an A&R Department, in which all the very best musicians and bands on BEAT100 is seen and rewarded by the team. This will give users yet another opportunity to receive exposure, should they be spotted by a member of the BEAT100 A&R Team. BEAT100 is the only music video and social network that manually approves each video that is uploaded, giving users the chance to receive BEAT100 Music Awards and bonus votes on their entries. These awards are ranked from Gold to Bronze and include the BEAT100 Song Award, Video Award, Performance Award and Favourite Award, with bonus votes ranging from 50 to 100, depending on the rank. These BEAT100 Music Awards may be given to musicians at anytime, and not only on approval.
BEAT100 are also introducing a brand new award, which will truly differentiate the talented users from the unbelievable, ‘blow-your-socks-off’, type of musicians. This award will be labelled the “Ultimate Musician Award” and will be worth 250 bonus votes. Not only will these recipients get a great head start into the BEAT100 Music Video Charts, but they will also be featured on the “Ultimate Musician Page”. This page will be seen as an ‘elite’ place to find excellent and high quality music videos. An A&R Department is generally seen as team of people who scout for artists that have the potential to be “commercially successful”. This page will therefore enable us to present good quality and professional artists to major record labels, such as Universal Music, Sony Music and Warner Bros. Music. It could also be seen as a catalogue for managers and record labels to find upcoming artists.
So, how do musicians receive this “Ultimate Musician Award” in order to be featured on such an elite and important page? The A&R Team at BEAT100 are essentially talent scouts, and will be looking for artists who can tick all of the required criteria and must have the whole package. This will include well-written original material, a high quality video and an immaculate performance. These artists are likely to receive featured press releases, which will distributed and promoted worldwide, an immense amount of video sharing by the A&R Team to important networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon and Pinterest, to name a few, and the possibility of being presented to the high-class and major record labels for consideration.
To be classed as the Ultimate Musician on BEAT100, musicians need to get working on chart entries and uploading today.
