New York City Recording Artist to Speak and Perform in Buffalo

Community Music School is excited to announce two master classes led by New York City-based artist Caroline Jones. CMS will also be hosting a concert with Jones on April 12.

Caroline Jones, a New York City-based singer, songwriter and recording artist, will give two master classes at Community Music School, 415 Elmwood Ave., on Saturday, April 13. Jones will speak at 10:30 a.m. on “Songwriting, Inspiration and Creativity” and at 12:30 p.m. on “The Business of Music.”

The classes are open to teens and adults interested in the music industry. The cost is $20 for one class or $30 for both.

In addition, Community Music School will host a free concert with Jones at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12 at Tapestry Charter School, 65 Great Arrow Ave. The concert will also feature Community Music School’s top-performing student winners of the recent Ruth W. Marcy Scholarship Competition.

Caroline Jones was classically trained by Andy Anselmo, a Buffalo native who went on to become New York City’s “Voice Coach to the Stars.” Caroline’s musical background consists of training in the Bel Canto operatic technique as well as study of the American songbook, cabaret and Broadway styles.
