“I [sing] about real life things I’ve been taught, things I’ve been through that have helped make me stronger,” says Gael.

Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and growing up in Toulouse, France, Gael Boom performed in his church choir at an early age. Though this experience introduced him to singing, he only considered it a hobby. “As a kid, I dreamed of becoming an architect,” says Gael. “I wasn’t into music until I turned 14 years old.” After moving to the United States, Gael discovered music as his passion. “I was at a local [concert] event,” he recalls, “I saw people my age on the stage performing with passion and their hearts. I said to myself, ‘This is what I want to do’”. The Texas-based R&B vocalist has since made much progress in achieving a successful music career and proves an impressive addition to the BEAT100 Original Music Video Chart this month with a recent upload for his song, ‘Rain’. Gael has already received a Gold Song, Favorite, and Video award from the BEAT100 team as his single quickly rises to the top of the charts this week.
As his interest in music grew, Gael formed a boy band trio at the age of 17, teaching himself to play drums and piano, while acquiring a strong interest in R&B. Following years of experience in performing, singing lead, and producing other artists, Gael recently released his first mix tape “If I Gave U the World”, marking the onset of his solo career. The CD is available to download for free on 4shared.com and features an array of original tracks and cover songs.
With musical influences ranging from Usher and Neyo to Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, Gael’s smooth and soulful vocals accompany his top quality production techniques and inspirational lyrics throughout his every track. “I [sing] about real life things I’ve been taught, things I’ve been through that have helped make me stronger,” says Gael. His single ‘Rain’ is no exception, as the original track provides listeners with the positive message: “Stop having doubts and believe in something”. It is apparent that fans have much to anticipate with this up-and-coming R&B talent, as ‘Rain’ provides listeners with a lively and danceable track that is both emotional and energetic, emulating the professional quality of R&B artists with decades of experience. “Music is my life and without it, I’d go crazy,” says Gael, “my music makes me feel alive.”
