“BEAT100 is on track to being the leaders in nurturing new music with [musicians’] best interests at heart,” says Rob.

Recently achieving status of a BEAT100 ‘Ultimate Musician’, while also receiving a number of BEAT100 Gold Song, Gold Video, and Gold Favorite Awards, BEAT100 users find it difficult to miss ‘Missing Andy’ throughout the pages of the social network. The band presents fans with meaningful lyrics, enthusiastic performances, and a diverse range of sounds and styles within the indie rock genre that leave listeners desiring more. Currently sitting in the Original Music Video Chart, Missing Andy’s ‘Mr. Policeman’ originates from the band’s newest ‘Acoustic EP’, released in January 2013, and provides a sample of the band’s two CD, twenty-track release of ‘Guerrilla Invasion’ set for release on April 1, 2013.

The five members of Missing Andy pride themselves on their use of music as a medium to speak to listeners. In ‘Mr. Policeman’, the band tells a well-written and relatable story through the use of clever lyrics and talented songwriting. In fact, though the band’s diverse musical backgrounds result in an eclectic blend of genres within each song, one element of the group’s songwriting is consistent: “What ties Missing Andy together are the lyrics. We’re hard on each other to make sure we only output the best content that [listeners] can connect with,” says Rob Jones, the bassist for Missing Andy. “[Growing up] I discovered that music is a great way to platform a voice and opinion, as well as achieving the satisfaction of making an audience forget life and enjoy themselves for a while.”

Their ability to connect with audience members is apparent, as the band’s following has increased tremendously since the release of their debut album in 2012. Due to their relatable original song content, enthusiastic and memorable live performances, and fresh and diverse content within each original track, Missing Andy have already achieved a comfortable third place position in the iTunes Rock Album Chart for the release of, ‘Acoustic EP’, following a full tour around the UK and Europe. Despite remaining independent and unsigned, the band has already achieved Top 40 status. “For me, I’d have to say our biggest achievement is Missing Andy itself and what we have done on our own, off our own backs to make it thus far,” says Rob, “There are many walls left to knock down and so many other bands would have given up by now. I commend us for the hard work we have put in,” explains Rob. “It’s the connection with the audience that will never get old and makes it well worth the band’s efforts.”

Missing Andy leaves fans much to look forward to in the coming month with a full-scale launch party for ‘Guerrilla Invasion’ on March 29th at KOKO club in Camden, previous to the album’s April 1st release date. Following the new release, the band is scheduled for a full line-up of gigs, providing fans plenty of opportunities to enjoy Missing Andy performing the new originals live.
