My Better Tomorrow, LLC announces charitable funding support for Convoy of Hope, a faith-based organization with a driving passion to feed the world. The first phase of the relationship begins with My Better Tomorrow (MBT) donating a portion of company revenues to Convoy of Hope, targeted at their Disaster Relief activities domestically and internationally.

A month after the devastating tornado that struck Joplin, Missouri in May 2011, My Better Tomorrow (MBT) was formed to enable people to be better prepared for tragic events. The co-founders of MBT have experienced storm devastation up close and personal, to include the April 2011 tornado that struck the Raleigh, NC neighborhood of co-founder, Clay Sinclair. It became clear there had to be a better way for families to protect their home Contents.

The items in a home are typically a family’s first or second largest financial investment – One that isn’t fully replaced by leaving things to chance. Tornadoes, hurricanes, fires and other perils are emotionally devastating to communities, but also financially withering for people; many of whom are surprised to find out they are not going to receive the reimbursement they expected and need. Through education and awareness, MBT wants to prevent that scenario.

As tragedies do, Joplin’s killer tornado brought out the incredible goodness of people, who collectively stepped up with tens of thousands of volunteer hours and financial assistance to aid the healing process. Several charitable organizations played a crucial role in bringing critical resources to support the recovery. One in particular, Convoy of Hope stood out to MBT co-founder, Mike Massey.

“I came to know Convoy of Hope from the wonderful things they did in Joplin. Although I first noticed them from their disaster relief efforts, I learned even more when I visited their headquarters, and was touched by their mission to feed the hungry, plus community outreach programs” says Mike Massey. “From the early days of MBT, we wanted to create a business that delivered a much-needed service, and built a reputation of giving back to the greater good. As MBT clients are using our service to protect thousands of dollars in Contents, it’s important to realize that is a blessing many don’t have.”

The donations from My Better Tomorrow will be directed to the Disaster Relief function within Convoy of Hope. The two organizations care deeply about helping people, and recognize the power of raising awareness of the worldwide charity work done by Convoy of Hope and the peace of mind solution offered through MBT. As community and family leaders, we mutually believe that personal responsibility and preparation are essential. Protecting yourself with MBT will now directly benefit those in need.

"From the first time I met with Mike of My Better Tomorrow, it was clear this is a new company that cares for a world beyond its own profits” says Jeff Roman, Convoy of Hope – Director of Corporate Relations. “We are pleased that Convoy of Hope was noticed for our inspirational actions and good works, and believe that working with socially responsible companies like MBT is consistent with our operations and values. We look forward to helping more people as a result of this relationship.”
