Today's art buyers are doing the work of several people. This client needs to know that his or her source for photography will handle the process seamlessly and perfectly from beginning to end. The client has got to know that once the job has been assigned -- the project, the brand, is 'safe'.
New York, New York (Vocus) September 15, 2009
Myrna Kresh, a well-known photography insider and agent, has developed a new agency and business platform for outstanding talent. Catering to knowledgeable creatives under the moniker of Myrna K Represents, her agency has formed alliances with strategic partners to raise the level of production and visual capabilities to where it must be in today's marketplace.
"Representing wonderful talent isn't enough anymore. Offering professional services and having a long-standing reputation in the business isn't enough. Advertising today needs broader, smarter services," commented Kresh. "Today's art buyers are doing the work of several people. This client needs to know that his or her source for photography will handle the process seamlessly and perfectly from beginning to end. The client has got to know that once the job has been assigned -- the project, the brand, is 'safe'."
She continued, "I've assembled a team to execute the best creative results flawlessly, affordably and on a fast turn basis. I'm working with a publisher, Welcome Books; a line producer, who has worked on the agency side for 25 years and knows everything about saving money and trimming fat; a marketing pro, who will make my photographers' projects viral and brand them with a strategy that's relevant to their specific needs; a designer, who works with my photographers to create websites and promotions; and a printing facility working solely with environmentally friendly substrates. And, what I bring to the agency and the project is the perspective of 30 years of experience in advertising and photography -- which means I learn something everyday. Expectations are higher than ever before, and my lean, strategically positioned agency is equipped to deliver and exceed client expectations."
During her career, Kresh has been a photography producer, writer and consultant for numerous photographers including Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber and Helmut Newton. As executive director of The Advertising Photographers of New York, she energized the organization by creating fundraising opportunities for members and sponsors alike. Kresh has produced major industry launches and events for Apple, Kodak, Canon USA, and The American Society of Magazine Photographers at The Kennedy Center. For 14 years she wrote and produced The International Center of Photography's Infinity Award Program.
Based in New York, Kresh represents six select and leading talents, each masters in their own artistic and creative specialty.
