PeopleMatter, the only integrated talent management solution specifically for hourly workforces, and Nando’s Peri Peri, the largest South African restaurant group to expand internationally, today announced a partnership to automate and streamline their Human Resource processes. Nando’s Peri Peri United States locations will implement PeopleMatter HIRE™ to replace the previously used paper hiring process.
“Nando's has a strong culture based on individuality and enjoying what you do that helps us attract brilliant people to make it all possible,” stated Rachael Elstad, Nando’s Peri Peri Director of Human Resources. “PeopleMatter solutions fit with who we are, and helps us identify and onboard employees who share our passion.”
With locations in 34 countries and five continents, Nando’s opened it’s first U.S. location in Washington D.C. in July 2008. The restaurant group has been recognized as a leader through several awards including No. 1 on the U.K.’s Sunday Times “25 Best Big Companies to Work For,” making HR Magazine’s “2009 Best Companies to Work For” and Ad Age’s global report on the “Top 30 World's Hottest Brands.”
“We selected PeopleMatter to help us to continue to position our company for success,” said Elstad. “Who we hire ultimately affects the company, and HIRE helps put the top three applicants on top of the pile.”
PeopleMatter HIRE™ streamlines the hiring process from beginning to end. Online, automated applications and pre-screening tools, such as service-focused assessments, background checks and employment verification, help managers track the processes as well as make targeted hiring decisions. The module also offers simple step-by-step onboarding and offboarding to ensure employee compliance.
“Nando’s Peri Peri is well recognized and respected in the industry, and positioned to really expand in the U.S.,” said Nate DaPore, PeopleMatter president and chief executive officer. “We look forward to being a part of that growth.”
