Leslie Bender, IFCCE, CIPP/US, CCCO, is a past President of ACA International. She served as ACA’s President for the term of 2013 / 14, and as an Officer of its Board of Directors from 2011 to 2015. Ms. Bender is located in San Diego, California and serves as ARS’s Vice President of Risk Management and General Counsel. She is a frequent motivational speaker and compliance educator and has been honored for her contributions to the consumer financial and healthcare industries by credit, collections, healthcare and banking associations as well as the US Small Business Administration.
In addition to being an attorney, Leslie is a trained mediator who works on corporate, compliance, privacy, transactional, credit and collections matters. She is an engaging corporate trainer with over thirty years’ experience working with financial institutions, collection agencies, governmental and regulatory bodies. Recognized as a national expert on HIPAA and other information privacy and security laws, she was one of the first privacy officers internationally accredited as a Certified Information Privacy Professional.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame.
