As Chief Executive Officer at Carmen’s Delicious Catering, LLC, Ms. Cortez combines her love of fashion and art with her passion for creating exceptional meals. Schooled in fashion and design, she is uniquely skilled in taking her knowledge of design, textures and color and expertly applying it to her cooking.
Ms. Cortez, who specializes in Mediterranean fusion cuisine, has been in the catering business for more than 20 years. Before establishing her own company, she held the position of Executive Chef at the internationally renowned Pilchuk Glass School, which was founded by glass artist Dale Chihuly. There, she honed her culinary skills, creating mouth-watering meals for the students / artists that were often considered works of art.
At Carmen’s Delicious Catering, Ms. Cortez continues to create exceptional meals that please a large variety of different tastes and dietary needs. From corporate events to private parties to intimate dinner parties, Ms. Cortez customizes each meal she prepares, overseeing all menu planning, shopping and meal preparation. Her goal is eventually to open an entertainment venue for weddings, corporate events, showers and more.
