The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Rachel Falkenstein as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in public health. Rachel Falkenstein is passionate about enriching the lives of others. As Advisor to Global Refugees and Asylees for the International Rescue Committee (IRC), she works tirelessly to expand opportunities for a better quality of life to those who relocate to the United States. In her role at IRC, she guides and advises individuals on such important topics as continued education, international transactions and certification towards professional advancement and opportunity.
Ms. Falkenstein, who obtained her Master’s degree in Public Health from CUNY Hunter College, is currently involved with NAFSA and Global Public Health. She is also very passionate about charitable organizations and is actively involved in the Heifer International and Clinton Foundation, which she serves logistically in the Global Conferences. Through her work with these foundations, Ms. Falkenstein plays a pivotal role in improving global health, creating economic growth and helping under-served women and girls around the world. As a member of NAPW’s VIP Women of the Year Circle, Rachel Falkenstein, who shows an outstanding commitment to the needs of her community and beyond, is being honored as a peer with women who have also established themselves as leaders and mentors.
