As Founder and Owner of Desert Leadership, Melissa Charles understands the importance of strong leadership in business. She also lives out these beliefs in her role as Vice President of the Mesa, Arizona Chapter of NAPW. Drawn to training and development throughout her career, Ms. Charles enjoys supporting individuals and organizations in their strides toward professional success.
Established in 2013, Desert Leadership is a consulting and training company that focuses on enhancing the communication, leadership and cohesiveness within organizations. Some of Ms. Charles’ numerous responsibilities include sales, product development and executive coaching. She creates and provides many resources through courses and seminars to foster the growth and improvement of an organization.
Ms. Charles isn’t one to shy away from challenges, but rather she uses them to drive her forward in her career. “I also am skilled in the area of conflict management, I enjoy talking to people and really getting to the bottom of the issues and how to work to resolve them,” she said.
Ms. Charles considers her biggest accomplishments to be receiving a Bachelor’s in Business Administration / HR as well as a Master’s Certification in Conflict Management/Mediation, both with honors. She finds the most rewarding part of her career to be the ability to help transform individuals into future leaders. In the future, Ms. Charles hopes to continue to inspire others, grow her business and travel the world.
