The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Vesta Abel as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating local chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Vesta into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “She is a great example of how passion can lead to new pathways to success.”
Ms. Abel is Owner and CEO of ArtSeeds, a boutique filled with handcrafted and unique items that represent her love of the arts and crafts community. Since opening her doors in 2008, Ms. Abel has been able to thrive in the Mercado de Baca Plaza in Tubac as well as online, a presence she has developed through how-to videos and TV appearances.
Inspired by her love of art, Ms. Abel was compelled to write how-to books for the world of fine crafting. “Beaded Amulet Necklaces, Copper Wish Box and Polymer Clay Ladder Bracelet (available on Amazon for just $2.99 each) are the first in a never-ending series,” she says. While writing books had never been part of her original plan, Ms. Able can no longer see her shop without it.
“I wrote these knowing there are a lot of people like me who not only love what they do but want others to love it just as much. This series is my way of spreading that love, and I’m very excited to start sharing the books with anyone who is interested,” says Ms. Abel.
Home schooled and completely self-taught in the field of arts and crafts, Ms. Abel is a Certified Handwriting Analyst from Handwriting University International. Besides her knowledge of handwriting, her skills and areas of expertise include retail operations, business ownership, management, teaching arts and crafts classes, and developing new products for ArtSeeds.
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive, highly advanced networking forum to successful women executives, professionals and entrepreneurs where they can aspire, connect and achieve.
