National Association of Professional Women Announces Janette Rivera, M.S.A., B.S., Senior Compliance Analyst at Coopervision, a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year

Janette Rivera is recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of the Year for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

NAPW honors Janette Rivera, M.S.A., B.S., as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Rivera is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in compliance. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 Local Chapters.

“I am good with people. I know how to delegate authority and also how to inspire and motivate those in my charge,” says Ms. Rivera, Senior Compliance Analyst at Coopervision, a leading manufacturer of contact lenses.

Ms. Rivera plays a key role in ensuring that all Coopervision products meet the company’s high standards and all regulatory requirements of government and industry agencies including the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Quality System Regulations (QSR) and International Organization for Standardization (ISO). “I conduct special audits to confirm adherence to specifications, procedures and regulatory compliance,” adds Ms. Rivera, who is also knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma methodology.

With her expansive industry insight, technical and analytical expertise and effective communication skills, Ms. Rivera has emerged as an expert in her field. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she has a Master’s in Science Administration from Central Michigan University and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves. Ms. Rivera looks forward to growing professionally and continuing to work tirelessly at Coopervision to help the company provide superior products to its customers. “My future goals are to escalate managerial positions in which my knowledge and experiences can be best utilized,” says Ms. Rivera.
