The team has developed and holds two US patents on the OptimComfort chair, which offers custom enhancements to the familiar “lift-chair.” These ergonomic chairs fit and support the human body in unprecedented comfort and style.
OptimComfort chairs are produced in a manufacturing facility that was established by Ms. Howard and Ms. DeShong in Plantersville, MS. The OptimComfort chair is custom produced to satisfy specific needs resulting from neurological impairments and movement disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury/spinal cord injury, and musculoskeletal impairments.
Ms. Howard earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama and is involved with the National Parkinson’s Foundation, National Alzheimer’s Association and United Cerebral Palsy.
