The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Leona C. Leven, RN, MSN, FNP as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation's leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

“I'm pleased to recognize Leona with this important honor,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”

Leona Leven has been influencing lives and patient outcomes in a variety of different settings for more than 38 years. Presently, she is the Supervisor of Clinical Services at Heath at Home in Branford, CT, where she specializes in hospice care. Ms. Leven also holds the title of Staff Development, Quality Assurance, at Unicare LLC. She earned her B.S.N. in Registered Nursing from Boston University and an M.S.N. in Public Health from Yale University and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

The International Nurses Association has recently welcomed Ms. Leven, R.N., M.S.N., A.N.P., to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Attributing her success to her ability to care for her patients and advocate for them, she tries to make life as easy as possible for those she looks after; the overworked, and in many cases under-appreciated. The International Nurses Association has brought together the brightest minds in nursing, recognizing them for their accomplishments and creating a unified voice for the community.
