NAPW honors JoAnne B. Lussier as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Lussier is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in spiritual and holistic health. As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 300 local chapters.
“After a major life change in 2009, I began to focus on my soul purpose and how I could find meaning in my life and in turn help others do the same,” says Ms. Lussier, Owner of The Willow Connection.
The company is named in honor of Ms. Lussier’s beloved cat, Willow, who passed away in 2013. Her cat's death inspired Ms. Lussier to move forward with her passion to practice spiritual and holistic health. She went on to become a certified Reiki Master Teacher and eventually launched her online business.
Although she still works full time as a paraprofessional in special education, Ms. Lussier devotes as much time as she can to The Willow Connection. In addition to performing Reiki for individuals and pets and providing other energy healing services, such as those using aroma touch and essential oils, Ms. Lussier also offers tarot and oracle card readings. Ms. Lussier has garnered much praise for her business. "Later this year, I am being highlighted in Women of Distinction Magazine for making a difference in my professional field and community," she says.
Ms. Lussier hopes to someday soon have a storefront for The Willow Connection and has other, more immediate plans. “I am currently in the process of creating workshops on a variety of topics including accessing your own intuitive abilities, Reiki and essential oils. I am also networking with several other women in my area to offer introductory workshops at affordable rates so cost won’t be a prohibitive factor from participating in these valuable experiences,” says Ms. Lussier. “These workshops will be available starting in the fall of this year.”
NAPW’s mission is to provide an exclusive networking forum to successful professional women where they can aspire, connect and achieve.
