NAPW honors Vicki Smith as a 2014 Professional Woman of the Year. Ms. Smith is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in management. As the largest, most-recognized organization of women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women is a vibrant networking community with over 600,000 members and nearly 400 Local Chapters.
“My key responsibility is to ensure that the field office I manage is organized, efficient and able to handle any client request with speed and accuracy,” says Ms. Smith, Field Office Manager at Percheron, LLC. “I maintain a superior level of quality control over clients’ needs and also motivate co-workers and staff to optimize their performances.”
Percheron is a service provider expert of pipeline, electric transmission and public project right-of-way needs for both interstate and multi-state projects for right-of-way negotiations and acquisitions. At the field office, Ms. Smith is able to keep things running smoothly using her exceptional organizational and communication skills. She makes certain the field office is set up with all necessary equipment, supplies, technology, utilities, public signage and more. Ms. Smith is also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the field office in an efficient manner and staying on budget. All of these tasks are possible because of Ms. Smith’s ability to effectively communicate with all parties involved: employees, co-workers, supervisors and clients.
With an eye to the future, Ms. Smith says her main focus on future goals “will be to streamline the ‘field office’ setup in a manner that will earn me the opportunity to oversee this procedure nationwide for either my current employer or other companies within the same industry.”
