Desi Farren selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Desi Farren as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in business. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 700,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

Desi Farren inspires others to seek the strength to conquer addiction and pursue lives filled with meaning and beauty. As Executive Director and Owner of two licensed out-patient facilities, she established an affordable alcohol and drug treatment program.

The Recovery Center of Northern Virginia is designed for adults and adolescents in need of a comprehensive structure but may not require or desire residential or inpatient treatment.

Between the two locations, the program allows individuals to continue their professional careers, family responsibilities and educational goals while receiving treatment that ultimately results in a productive life free from alcoholism, drug addiction and
substance abuse.

Ms. Farren’s areas of expertise include treatment for addictive disorders, relapse prevention and trauma. She is currently involved with NADAAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, which represents the professional interests of addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused healthcare professionals. Assisting clients and family members through counseling and other therapeutic techniques, Ms. Farren helps everyone affected by addiction by encouraging individualized growth. She assists them in restoring their sense of self-worth and enjoying happiness and purpose in their lives once again.
