The National Association of Professional Women’s Milwaukee Wisconsin Chapter held late summer meetings on July 6th and September 14th, 2011. The meetings were held at Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel in Brookfield Wisconsin, starting at 5:30pm.

Members present for the meeting on July 6th included Robyn Olszowy, President of NAPW Milwaukee Local Chapter and Creative Consultant; Renee Love, Independent Tupperware Manager; and Annalee Kruger, President of Care Right Inc. Guest attendees included Renee’s mother, Linda. Members and guest arrived, signed in, socialized and networked before placing dinner orders and proceeding with the meeting agenda.

The group discussed hosting a toy drive for the December meeting, as it will be a Holiday Party. Annalee suggested the Sojourner Peace Center charity, and it was agreed that the drive would benefit them. Annalee will contact the charity to speak at either the September or October meeting. The charity will also provide a list of needed items.

Annalee also spoke about the book she is writing on Domestic Abuse and the kind of help that is available. She provided contact information for various local agencies and tips on how to use their services.

Robyn presented Stampin’Up!, tools for paper crafting, scrapbooking and card making. Each member present made their own card.

Dinner arrived towards the end of the presentation. No photos were taken.

Members present for the meeting on September 14th included Robyn Olszowy, President of NAPW Milwaukee, WI and Creative Consultant; Janice Alexander – Physician-OB-GYN Fsh-Mayo Health Systems; Sheila Barnhart – Executive Manager – Send Out Cards; Jeannette Choate – Senior Cost Accountant – Highmark; Joanne Kaminski – Reading Specialist – Online Tutoring International; Renee Love – Independent Tupperware Manager; Sheri Weaver – Administration & Quality Supervisor, HNI Risk Services.

Members and guest gathered, signed in, placed their dinner orders and did a bit of chatting and networking.

The chapter welcomed Janice Alexander and Sheri Weaver to their first meeting and presented them with the NAPW Notebook and Membership Pin. The new members shared a bit about themselves and their businesses.

Joanne Kaminski owns and runs an online tutoring business. The chapter was interested in learning more about her services and it was decided that she will do a more in-depth presentation on Usborn Books at the October meeting. She will hold a mini-party.

The chapter’s next meetings will be held on October 5th and November 2nd.

The December meeting will be December 7th and will be a Holiday Party. Each member will bring items for the Sojourner Peace Center. A representative of Sojourner’s will come to a meeting this fall and share what they do and what items they need.

“This was a very good meeting with a lot of networking and discussion,” Robyn said. “We were excited to welcome our new members and are looking forward to Joanne’s presentation on Usborn Books and her online tutoring service.”

A group photo was taken before everyone departed.
